Image Upscaling Guide

The Image Upscaling tab uses Topaz’s AI-driven enhancement to boost your image resolution and quality—in just a few clicks.

1. Mode Selector

At the top, switch to Upscale mode under Image Generation:

  • Generate = new images from text

  • Upscale = improve existing images

Tip: Upscaling works best on images that are already in focus but need more resolution or detail.

2. Add Reference Image

  1. Click Upload Image to Upscale or drag-and-drop your file into the box.

  2. Your image appears as a thumbnail—this is the version Topaz will enhance.

3. Start Upscaling

  • Click the Upscale Image button.

  • The system sends your image through Topaz Labs’ AI pipeline, automatically applying denoising and restoration.

Note: There are no additional settings—Topaz’s algorithm chooses the optimal enhancement parameters for you.

4. Monitoring Your Job

After you hit Upscale, check the Generation Feed:

  • Progress Indicator shows status.

  • Timestamp and Mode Tag confirm it’s an upscale job.

Hover for a side-by-side preview or click to open the high-res version.

5. Post-Processing Actions

Once complete, hover over the upscaled image to reveal:

  • Add to Library: Save to your Assets tab

  • Download: Export the enhanced image to your device

  • Delete: Remove this upscaling job (with confirmation)

With Topaz-powered upscaling, you can effortlessly transform low-res or noisy images into crisp, gallery-ready files—no manual tinkering required.
